When you work alone, a repeatable system can reduce the mental load of deciding what to do next. Build a workflow that protects research time and gets projects finished.

Choose one primary project

Keep a short list of ideas, but designate one main project for the week. Too many active projects can make every task feel unfinished.

Break the work into visible stages

Use simple stages: idea, research, outline, script, recording, edit, quality check and publish. A project feels easier when the next action is obvious.

Batch similar tasks

Research in one block, write in another, record when your setup is ready and edit in focused sessions. Batching can reduce the time lost switching between different kinds of work.

Define a minimum viable session

On a low-energy day, choose a small task that still moves the project forward: verify three claims, write one section or organise the footage. Consistency is built from repeatable actions.

Keep a parking lot for new ideas

Write down new ideas without immediately switching projects. Review them during a scheduled planning session and decide what deserves attention next.

End with a short review

Ask what moved forward, what caused friction and what the next concrete task is. A clear next step makes it easier to restart tomorrow.
